🎮 Important Notice: Lanka Ludo is a free-to-play board game using virtual currency only. No real money is involved. Coins and gems are virtual items with no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real money.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the game experience:

- Profile photo (optional, uploaded by you)

- Virtual currency balances (coins and gems)

- Leaderboard rankings

- Device type and operating system version (for compatibility)
- IP address (for session security and fraud prevention)

3. App Permissions Explained
Lanka Ludo requests the following permissions. We request only what the app actually needs:

Used only when you choose to take a profile photo using your camera. The app does not access your camera at any other time. Photos are never shared without your consent.

Used only when you select a profile photo from your gallery. No other files on your device are accessed or read.

Internet Access
Required for online multiplayer games, account login, leaderboard, and displaying advertisements. Without internet, only local (offline) game mode is available.

Vibration (optional)
Used for haptic feedback on dice rolls and game events. Can be disabled in device settings.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your game account
- To operate online multiplayer games and match players
- To display leaderboards and game statistics
- To process rewards, daily bonuses, and friend invites
- To send game notifications (wins, friend activity)
- To diagnose bugs and improve app performance
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for profiling, automated decision-making, or selling to third parties.
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.
Your data may be accessed in the following limited circumstances:
- Google AdSense: We display advertisements via Google AdSense. Google may collect anonymous ad interaction data (such as device type and ad impressions) for ad targeting. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting provider: Our server hosting provider stores your data on secure servers to operate the game. They do not use your data for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of users.
No other third parties receive your personal data.
6. Virtual Currency — Not Real Money
⚠️ Lanka Ludo uses virtual coins and gems only.
- Coins and gems are in-game virtual items with no real-world monetary value
- Virtual currency cannot be converted to real money or transferred out of the game
- Lanka Ludo is not gambling — no real money can be won or lost
- No purchase is required to play — the app is completely free
- Virtual currency is earned through gameplay, daily rewards, and watching ads
7. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement the following security measures:
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — never stored in plain text
- Sessions use secure random tokens
- Database access is restricted to the application only
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Profile photos stored in a protected directory
While we take reasonable precautions, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention: Your data is retained as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all personal data (profile, stats, game history, uploaded photos) is permanently deleted from our servers within 24 hours.
8. Children's Privacy
Lanka Ludo is intended for players aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we will delete that information promptly.
9. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: View your account information in the Profile section of the app
- Correction: Update your username and profile photo in Edit Profile
- Deletion: Permanently delete your account (and all associated data) from Profile → Delete Account
- Portability: Contact us to request a copy of your data
- Opt-out of ads: You can opt out of personalised ads through your device's ad settings
10. Cookies & Tracking
The app uses localStorage to store your login session token locally on your device. This is required for the app to remember that you are logged in between sessions.
We do not use tracking cookies for analytics beyond what Google AdSense uses for ad delivery.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
For significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification.
